Breast Care Center
Our friendly staff in the Breast Care Center strives to make each patient feel comfortable before, during and after exams by offering a spa-like setting, explaining each step in the process and performing the exam as quickly and gently as possible.
Digital Mammography
Our Hologic Selenia full-field digital mammography unit provides superior imaging and enhanced operating efficiency, and maximizes patient comfort. The power of digital imaging creates new possibilities for technologies that could enable us to see cancers earlier than ever before. Our digital mammography unit is the gold standard series in screen-film mammography.
Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
The Lorad MultiCare Platinum prone breast biopsy table offers the latest advances in stereotactic technology, making it the ideal system for characterization of calcifications, masses and architectural distortion. The exclusive contoured table allows the patient to lie comfortably in either direction throughout the procedure and provides 360-degree access. Flexible positioning capability ensures easy direct access to lesions.
Bone Densitometry (Dexa)
The GE Lunar Prodigy Primo densitometer provides our physicians with state-of-the-art diagnoses and precise information that can help identify patients at risk for fractures due to osteoporosis. The GE Lunar Prodigy Primo offers the breakthrough precision and accuracy of direct digital technology.
Ultrasound
Our MINDRAY M5 diagnostic ultrasound system provides extraordinary performance to suit a broad range of clinical needs. The M5 offers brilliant color imaging and excellent 2D performance to generate higher-quality images.
Breast MRI
Advanced breast imaging technology is also available in the Hanford Medical Pavilion, in the Lab and Imaging Center on the First Floor. Breast MRI is critical for detecting breast cancer and other breast abnormalities. It doesn’t replace mammography or ultrasound but supplements it.
Breast Cancer Team and Resources
For patients diagnosed with breast cancer, a team of caring breast specialists is available to help patients understand their treatment options. Specialists include surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, radiation oncologists, dietitians, physical therapists and social workers.
The Breast Care Center also offers a store and information to help support patients during treatment.
